We ship all artworks well packed, safe and secure, and with insurance free of charge all around the world. Free shipping includes all packaging supplies as well as insurance. Please note that any additional taxes, customs duties or expenses incurred due to complying with foreign regulatory requirements or laws are your responsibility. If our courier cannot deliver our package to your address, and also if you fail to provide us with your correct and full address, you will be responsible for any additional shipping costs.

Expect all orders to be shipped within 5-10 days from the time they are placed, however most packages go out more quickly. Note that the delivery time can vary substantially depending on the size of the work and the location of the customer and the artist.

If you are not fully satisfied with your artwork, you may return it within fourteen days of receipt for a full refund or replacement, as long as the artwork is still in mint condition. If you wish to return an artwork, simply send us a message by email before you send out the artwork well-packed back to the address of the artist. Please note that return shipping costs are on your side. We will notify you of your refund once we've received and processed the returned artwork. You should expect to receive your refund within thirty days of giving your package to the return shipper, however in most cases you will receive a refund much more quickly. Our return policy as well as our 100% money back guarantee is only valid for Europe and North America. Customers from other countries can not return their artworks after their purchase. Please note we do not offer any refunds for artworks purchased in one of our time-limited special offers.

Please note that artworks must be removed carefully from the packaging as we accept no liability for any damage incurred to the artwork by the customer. All items are packaged before sending with the utmost care and attention; any artwork not in mint condition will not be dispatched. 5 Pieces Gallery mostly sells contemporary fine art with a strong focus on emerging and established artists working in the media of painting, drawing, mixed media, print, and photography. We have a large collection of several hundred artworks, featuring some of the most talented artists around the world.

If you have seen the work on display, please supply us with the name of the artist and work title displayed and we will provide you with further information and send you additional pictures of the work.

Every 5 Pieces Gallery original and print comes accompanied by a certificate of authenticity issued by 5 Pieces Gallery and hand signed by the artist. In addition to the edition number and original signature, the certificate features the work’s title, the artist’s name, and the date of issue. The certificate is securely packaged and sealed and shipped together with your order. Having these items shipped together with your artwork ensures that you are getting a real work of art.

By publishing nearly all prices on the website, we take a different approach because our objective is to make the purchase of art as easy and transparent as possible. Our goal is to offer the lowest possible prices while still appropriately valuing the quality of each artwork. We can offer relatively low prices on high quality art because we take great efforts to reduce our fixed costs and to find under-exposed artists who have not yet built an extensive collector base. In setting individual prices, we begin by considering the degree of exposure and demand the artist brings with them to 5 Pieces Gallery and the prices at which an artist has sold work in the past. This is our best indication of how collectors already value the work.

Collecting is a very personal experience for everyone – what is most important is that you find artists whose work speaks to you in a unique way. We only represent the artwork of artists who have the potential to become household names and are worth every dollar you spend. But even though the value for the artworks of most 5 Pieces Gallery artists generally do increase as their careers advance and as there is more demand for their work, we hope our collectors purchase art at 5 Pieces Gallery as a personal investment—because it moves them on an aesthetic, emotional, and intellectual level. Although many of our collectors enjoy purchasing art as an investment, we advocate buying art primarily for the enjoyment you get from the work. After that, the investment potential becomes incidental and merely a potential bonus to your overall enjoyment of the work.

A limited edition print comes from an edition with a predetermined, finite quantity. For example, a limited edition of 50 means only 50 prints will ever be created in this edition. Our limited editions are delivered with a Certificate of Authenticity that is hand signed and numbered (e.g. 1/50) by the artist. Additionally, the artist will hand sign and number the print itself.

How are the prints made?

How does one care for prints?

We don't have an in-house service but can recommend a framer in most major cities.

We currently show the work of nearly one hundred international artists and are constantly adding new artists, so we can offer a broad and fresh collection of fine art. Our director and art consultants regularly review the work of upcoming artists, in addition to going out in museums, galleries and to art fairs.

Shipping

We can ship almost anywhere in the world via national postal offices and different couriers such as Federal Express, DHL, EMS and more. All artworks are shipped directly from the artist.

All artworks are well packaged with the utmost care and most professional services available, to minimize the risk of damage during shipping and delivery. We ship the artworks mostly with the Priority service of the national postal offices or couriers. Please contact us right after your order if you would like to receive an Express shipment to discuss possible additional costs.

Yes, if you wish your artwork to be sent flat, we will do that of course.

Insurance for all original artworks will be arranged for by the dispatch company. These costs have already been included in the grand total.

It depends on each work, but it usually takes anywhere 3-8 working days for domestic shipments. In case the artwork is being shipped to another country it would take approximately 5-10 working days to arrive at most destinations. 
In case the delivery is in Asia, Africa, South America or Australia, it would take approximately 10-20 working days.
 Please note some works require printing and signing after we receive your order, which can take additionally some working days.

In the rare case that the artwork gets damaged in the shipment process, contact us immediately or within 14 days after the work reaches your address. We will guide you through your options. These may include replacing the damaged work (in the case of multiple editions) or providing a full refund. Unfortunately, we cannot accept any responsibility for work that has arrived damaged if you have not contacted us within 14 days of receiving your order. We suggest that customers inspect their artwork as soon as possible after they receive it.
