Thomas Heger studied at the Stuttgart State Academy of Art under Prof. Grau and Prof. Haegele. He got art prizes and scholarships. From 2006 until 2012 he also taught as a professor at the High School of Art in Halle, Burg Giebichenstein.
His works are shown in many exhibitions in Germany and Europe.
