Kate Garner
Kate Garner (1954, Wigan/UK) is an English singer and photographer. Garner was one third of the trio of 1980s avant-garde, new wave pop project called Haysi Fantayzee, the other members being Jeremy Healy and Paul Caplin. Garner then launched a successful photographic career, working over a period of time with Sinéad O'Connor, creating memorable images of O'Connor including working on her 1987 debut, The Lion and the Cobra. Garner has also photographed many musicians and celebrities. Among them are: Dr. Dre, Leigh Bowery, JT LeRoy, Angelina Jolie, Cate Blanchett, David Bowie, Lauryn Hill, Vanessa Paradis, Björk, and Kate Moss. Her work has appeared in the American and British versions of Vogue and Harper's Bazaar. She has also worked for W magazine, Interview, GQ, Vanity Fair, Elle and The Sunday Times. She is a continuing contributor to i-D magazine.
